John Wayne Lentz, 77 years of age, of New London, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at his home.
John was born October 29, 1939 in Albemarle to the late Clarence B Lentz and the late Virginia Ella McIntyre Lentz.
He was also preceded in death by brother, Vernon Lentz.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm, Monday, August 14, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The graveside service will follow at 1:00pm at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle and will be officiated by Rev. Ben Sloan.
Survivors include brother, Charles Alton (Ruby) Lentz; nephew, Robin Lentz; niece, Tyler (Barry) Brummitt; nephew, Roger (Kathleen) Lentz; three great nieces, Colbie, Averie, and Alyssa; and one great nephew, Cooper; all of New London, NC.
John was the owner and operator of North Stanly Florist.
