John Linker, Sr.

Mr.John Daniel Linker Sr. 80 of Concord, went to his heavenly home Wednesday February 9, 2022, with his loving wife of 59 years by his side.

In his younger years John was the pitcher for the softball teams he and his brothers played on. John worked in Canon Mills for 14 years, construction for 30 years, and Wal-mart for 15 years. John loved fishing and sitting in his rocking chair on the porch.

John was born October 28, 1941, to the late Ralph and Laura Linker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin and Leroy Linker.

John is survived by his wife Brenda Sutton Linker, sons, John Daniel Linker Jr. and wife Betsy of Concord, Tim Linker of Midland, Mark Linker of Concord; sisters, Judy Long of Concord, Tamara Love and husband Dale of Midland; brothers, Charles Linker, and George Linker and wife Jeannie of Concord; 3 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm, Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord 460 Branchview Dr. NE, Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm officiated by Pastor Rick Wilson. Burial will be at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.
