John Barbee

John "JR" Reid Barbee, 60, of Concord, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022.

John was born June 21, 1962, in Charlotte to the late John and Ginger Barbee.

John was proud to work for Hep Global as VP of Accounting and Controller.  He loved his coworkers.  John was a big Jimmy Buffett fan (forever Parrot Head).  He was a past member of the Civil Air Patrol.  John was a history buff.  He dearly loved the ocean but hated the sun.  Most of all, John was a devoted family man.  He loved his family unconditionally and would do anything for them.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 37 years, Mary Barbee of Concord; son, Sean Barbee of Germany; daughter, Olivia Barbee of Illinois; brother, Joe Barbee of Florida; and nephew Collin Barbee of Florida.

John's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm at Cabarrus Brewery, 329 McGill Ave NW, Concord.  Please wear bright, tropical colors and think about a memory of John to share with his family.  Remember, "It's 5 o'clock somewhere!"
