John Ridenhour

John Arthur Ridenhour, age 91, of Locust, N.C., died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at his home in Locust, N.C. Ridenhour was self - employed in agriculture and was a member of Mount Pleasant Church of God. The family will meet at his home. He was the son of the late John Ridenhour and the late Ella (Cauble) Ridenhour. He is survived by his wife Willie Geneva (Harwood) Ridenhour; Daughters, Ann Tucker of Oakboro, Judy Carriker of Albemarle, Patricia Hinson of Albemarle, Ruby Stirewalt of Albemarle, Susie Oliver of Albemarle, Janie Sapp of Mt. Pleasant, and Gloria Konopka of Albemarle Sons, Larry Ridenhour of Albemarle, Michael Ridenhour of Texas, Steve Ridenhour of Florida and Benny Ridenhour of Albemarle Sisters, Bernice Winecoff, Cleo Efird, Jewel Little and Carolyn Whitley Brother, Joe Ridenhour He is also preceded in death by son William "Bill" Ridenhour, brother Clarence Ridenhour, brother Archie Ridenhour Thirty Nine grandchildren Seventy Six great-grandchildren Ten great-great grandchildren Memorials can be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle, P. O. Box 7, Albemarle, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2009. Funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel-Albemarle at 4:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2009 , Rev. Gary Bragg officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, N.C.
