John Sossoman

John Daniel Sossoman, Sr., 76, of Concord, passed away on April 15, 2015. An amazing husband and father, he passed peacefully with his family by his side. He was a long time Fire Sprinkler Contracting pioneer and entrepreneur.

Mr. Sossoman was born January 5, 1939 in Cabarrus County to the late Fairel Lee Sossoman, Sr. and the late Virginia Lucille Blackwelder Sossoman. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Fairel Sossoman, Jr. and Joe Sossoman; sisters, Evelyn Overcash and Doris Benton; grandsons, Daniel and Christopher Sossoman.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am - 1:00pm, Saturday April 18, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm and officiated by Rev. Roger Byrd. The burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. At other times the family will be at the home.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Brenda Hall Sossoman of Concord; sons, Jeffrey Sossoman and wife Crystal of Mooresville, John Sossoman, Jr. of Badin; daughter, Lisa Sossoman of Concord, sisters, Sarah Carriker of Midland, Faye Griffin of Concord, Phyllis Helms of Huntersville, and Linda Bost & husband Harvey of Midland; grandchildren, Ashley Cunningham, William Cunningham, Simon Sossoman; great grandchild, Brianna Sossoman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cabarrus Christian Fellowship, 3591 South Ridge Ave., Concord, NC 28025.
