Biography
Johnnie Ruth Goodman, 76 years of age, of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017.
Mrs. Goodman was born July 21, 1940 to the late Johnny Jacob and Edna Mae Allred. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Allred. After attending Hartsell High School, Johnnie and her husband owned and operated Wilmar Checker Mart for over 38 years.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Chapel officiated by Rev. Phil Goble, Jr. Burial will follow in the Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis at 601 Mt. Olivet Rd. Concord.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Robert Goodman; son, Rodney and wife Rebecca Goodman; daughter, Rachelle and husband Randy Phillips; grandsons, Randon and Raleigh Phillips, Matthew Goodman; sisters, Mary Coble of Petersburg, VA, Betty Grey of Liberty, NC; several nieces and nephews as well as all of her loving in-laws.
