Johnny Crayton

Johnny “Jake” Crayton, age 70 of Concord, NC, passed away on July 27, 2011 at The Oaks at Town Center, Harrisburg, NC. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 6pm until 8pm. The funeral will be Saturday, July 30 at 11am, in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Thomas Gibbs. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Gardens in Concord. Mr. Crayton was born in Cabarrus County on October 4, 1940, to the late Richard Ames Crayton and to the late Flora Ann Harvell Crayton. He is also preceded in death by brothers, Earl and Gene Crayton; sisters, Margie Harkey and Ailene Lambert. He is survived by his spouse, Carrie “Becky” Drake Crayton, of the home; daughters, Cynthia Crayton and Monica Crayton both of Concord, Beth Stirewalt of Kannapolis; son, Scottie Little of Concord; sister, Virginia Linker of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Richard Crayton of Concord, Charlie Crayton of Rockwell; 9 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Crayton family.
