Johnny Dover

Johnny Rogers Dover was born April 22, 1939 in Commerce, Georgia and passed away at home April 14, 2012. Mr. Dover graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in 1958. He was a retired truck driver, a Mason and a Teamster. He loved coaching at CYAC and Derita, he also enjoyed being a referee around the Charlotte Area. Mr. Dover is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Parker Dover; daughter Tammy McCullum and husband Steven; sons Barry Dover and Chad Dover and his wife Buffy. He leaves 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Survived by his brothers; Lawrence Dover, William Dover, Jr. and sisters; Doris Moore, Martha Lanham, and Diane Davis along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Dover is preceded in death by his parents William and Maude Beck Dover; sisters Louise Turene, Hedi Lauree Hagler, Mary Elizabeth Dover and Sara Lee Dover, and brothers Clarence Dover and Harry Lee Dover. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.
