Johnny Lowder

Johnny Franklin Lowder, 84 years of age, of Monroe, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Pruitt Health-Union Pointe in Monroe.
Johnny was born August 30, 1933 in Cabarrus County to the late John Haywood Lowder and the late Vassie Dorton Lowder.
He was also preceded in death by first wife, Helen Frances Lowder; recent wife, Emily Hodge Lowder; sister Mickey Lowder; and grandson, Mark Lowder.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Monroe. The funeral service follow at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary and will be officiated by Rev. Brian Austin and Stacy Pearson. Burial will follow at the Howells Baptist Church Cemetery at 3800 Baptist Lane in Concord.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny Franklin (Brenda) Lowder, Jr. of Kannapollis, Timothy Mark Lowder, Sr. of Stanfield; two brothers, Gene Lowder and Jesse (Janice) Lowder; two sisters, Louise (Fred) King, and Margie (Larry) Long; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Lori, Stacey (Anthony), and Michael (Alisha) Lowder; step-son, Jeff (Audrey) Hodge; step-daughter Cheri (Jody) Schill; step-grandchildren, Ashley (Scott) Pridgen, Bethany Hodge, Emily Schill, Austin Schill; six great-grandchildren, Hannah, Samuel, Makaleigh, Gabrian, Christopher, Cheyenne, and Maddox.
