Johnsie Louise Kee

Johnsie Louise Kee, 82, of Richfield, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at her home in Richfield, NC.  Mrs. Kee was born April 1,1941 in Mooresville, North Carolina to the late John Lander Murray and the late Lula Blackwelder Murray.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Billy G. Kee, as well as a sister, Margaret Ann Trull and son-in-law, Chuck Smart.

Survivors include three daughters, Pamela J. Smart of New London, Donna K. Barnes (Kenny) of Kannapolis, and Michelle K. England (Tom) of Kannapolis; two sons, Dale Kee (Darlene) of Rockwell, and Eric Kee (Connie) of Richfield, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren as well as many special nieces and nephews.

She was employed in healthcare for 35 years before her retirement. Caring for others was natural for her. Her passion was spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.    

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord officiated by Reverend Chris Hunt. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord, NC.
