Joseph Earnhardt

Joseph Carl Earnhardt, 74, of Concord, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House. The family will receive friends at Pitts Baptist Church 140 Pitts School Road Concord on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 1 until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at the church at 2 pm, with Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Joseph was born on March 17, 1938 in Rowan County, to the late Hilbert William Earnhardt and Zelia Propst Earnhardt. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother William E. Earnhardt, and brother-in-law, Jim Troutman. He was a member of Pitts Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf. Joseph loved his church and his family. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Griffin Earnhardt of the home; son, Joseph Earnhardt and wife Glenda of Concord; daughter, Debra Loflin and husband Ricky of Albemarle; brother, L.A. Earnhardt and wife Jimmie of Salisbury; sisters, Joan Troutman of Salisbury and Lynn Coughenour and husband Paul of Salisbury; sister-in-law, Martha Earnhardt of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Tiffani Earnhardt and Aaron Loflin.
