Joseph Estelle, Jr

Joseph “Junior” Franklin Estelle, Jr., 69, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011, at his home. Mr. Estelle was born June 18, 1942 in Union County to the late Joseph Franklin Estelle, Sr. and Mary Frances Polk Estelle. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laura Estelle; and uncle, David Polk. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 17, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with a 30 minute state, at Antioch Baptist Church of Monroe, officiated by Rev. Joe Query, Rev. Billy Mobley, and Rev. George Gouge. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Lynn Rushing Estelle, of the home; his sons, Patrick Lynn Estelle of Monroe and Tracy Franklin Estelle and wife, Anne of Dallas, NC; his grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Tiffany, Ariel, and Jamie; his aunts, Pauline Polk and Irene Tarlton, both of Monroe; and his uncle, Fred Polk of Monroe.
