Joseph William Ferro (44) of Concord North Carolina, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2024 at 9am. Joe was surrounded by loved ones after a very long and courageous fight.
He was born in Yonkers, Westchester County, NY on November 11, 1979 at 9am to his loving parents William (Yogi) and Vincenza (Zina) Ferro. Joseph grew up in Beacon, NY and attended St. Mary's Elementary School in Fishkill, NY and graduated from Beacon High School. He graduated with an Associate Degree in Graphic Design and went on to create his own woodworking business.
Joe was the youngest of three children and loved his sisters, Cynthia (Joe) Lichwick and Denise (Mark ) Hall, very much. Throughout the course of Joe’s life his families well being was at the forefront of his mind. He worked diligently and to the best of his ability at everything he did, especially in his career in the restaurant/hospitality industry. Most recently, Joe was employed with East Coast Wings in Harrisburg, NC where he was a General Manager and oversaw so many amazing people. Joe loved his East Coast Family. His boss and co-workers have been a wonderful source of support, each one stepping up without complaint to help through every step of his journey the past couple of years.
Joe is survived by his loving and beautiful wife Amy Ferro and his six amazing boys Anthony, Dominic, Nicolas, Aidan, Noah, and Christian. He has several nieces and nephews that he loved and left behind, Vivien Hall, Brooke and Kiera Lichwick, Harrison Walier, and Roman and Chase Swint. He is also survived by many wonderful aunts/uncles, cousins, and friends. He fought harder than anyone ever knew. Silently, and never complained not once. He did not give up even in the end. No matter what he was going through, he fought every single day with a smile and loved his family fiercely. Joe will be remembered for so many amazing things. His hardworking spirit, his love of woodworking, Frank Sinatra, and all things art and baseball (especially the New York Yankees.) Most of all he will be remembered for his most precious accomplishment in life, his six sons. His legacy will live on in the incredibly strong, smart, kind, and most beautiful young men who each uniquely hold a different part of the best of who Joe was and he will never be forgotten.
