Joseph Fisher

Joseph “Marshall” Fisher, age 88 of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, December 13th at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, December 15th from 6 until 8 pm. The funeral service will be at West Concord Baptist Church on Friday, December 16th at 2 pm following a 30 min. state, with Rev. Michael Farley officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Marshall was born on February 2, 1923 in Cabarrus County, to the late Robert Carroll and Bessie Alexander Fisher. Marshall was a Material Specialist for Phillip Morris USA in Concord. He was a lifelong member of West Concord Baptist Church and served as a deacon. Marshall is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 67 years, Freida Blackwelder Fisher, of the home; son, Barry Dale Fisher, Sr. and wife Karen; brothers, Melvin “Bud” Fisher and wife Thelma of Columbia, SC, Bob Fisher and wife Brenda; sister, Doris Wright and husband Alfred of Knightdale, NC; grandchildren, BJ Fisher, and wife Jennifer, Brett Matthew Fisher and wife Whitney.
