Joseph Holleman

Joseph Alvin Holleman, Age 87 of 2452 Rock Hill Church Road, Concord, North Carolina 28025; formally of Locust NC, passed away on July 19, 2010 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Born in Davey County on March 20, 1923, to the late Paul Joseph Holleman and the late Lizzie Osborne Holleman, he was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Stanfield. Mr. Holleman was an outside maintenance worker for the town of Locust. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Friendship Baptist Church in Stanfield, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral services will immediately follow at the church with the Rev Clint Lewey and Rev. Jon Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Stanly County DAV. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Joseph Holleman was survived by his wife of 66 years, Lizzie Holleman of Concord NC, his daughters Lora Connell and Teresa Wilkinson both of Concord NC and Avin Whitley of Clyde TX, his sister Ruby Holleman of Concord NC, and seven half brothers and sisters, five grandchildren , and seven great grandchildren.
