Joseph Melvin

Joseph “Joe” Robert Melvin, age 57 of Albemarle, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Genesis Healthcare of Salisbury. A memorial service will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at his home at 503 Graham Street, Albemarle, NC. Mr. Melvin was born in Ross County, Ohio on October 24, 1954, to the late John Robert Melvin and the late Margie Lunsford Melvin. He is survived by two sons, Johnathan Melvin of New London and Brandon Melvin of Albemarle; a girlfriend, Mary Ann Myers; two brothers, Richard Cole and Marty Booth; former wife, Martha Furr and two grandchildren. Mr. Melvin was a self employed truck driver and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Melvin family.
