Joseph Russell, Jr.

Joseph Francis Russell, 67, of New London, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at home.

Joe was born January 17, 1955, in North Carolina to the late Joseph Francis Russell Sr. and Miriam Russell.

A graveside service will be on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 2:00 pm at New London Cemetery in New London officiated by Thomas Michael Russell.

Joe was raised in the Albemarle school system and graduated in 1973.  He then went on to achieve a B.S. from NC State University in textiles where he was integral in the manufacturing processes.  Joe followed his father’s steps in the textile industry until he retired in New London.

Survivors include brother, Thomas Michael Russell of Albemarle, NC; mother, Miriam Russell of Albemarle, NC.; and wife of 40 years, Amy Russell.
