Joseph Willard Snuggs

Joseph Willard Snuggs, 82, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, at Spring Arbor of Albemarle.

Joe was born December 22, 1941, in Albemarle to the late Giles Willard Snuggs and the late Katherine Hornbuckle Snuggs. He was also preceded in death by sister, Katherine Carol Snuggs.

Joe's life was one of integrity, humility and high personal standards. His gentle, kind, and cheerful spirit allowed him to easily connect with every person who crossed his path. He never met a stranger. People along the journey found in him the gifts of genuine friendship, generosity, selflessness, encouragement, and inspiration.

The memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel of Albemarle, officiated by Rev. Joel Lynn and Jim Sawyer. Joe will be laid to rest during a private committal at First Presbyterian Church Columbarium in Albemarle. 

Joe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ann Hatcher Snuggs of Albemarle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Minister's Discretionary Fund at First Presbyterian Church of Albemarle, PO Box 1578, Albemarle, NC 28002.
