Joshua Morris

Joshua Edward Morris, 35, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on  November 29, 2020 at his home in Mount Pleasant, NC.

He was born on August 14, 1985 to John and  Barbara Morris in  Mt Holly, NJ. He attended school at  Western Carolina and obtained his bachelor's degrees in hospitality and tourism. Josh worked as a Parts Associate.  While at Western he met his college soulmate and on July 27, 2013 he married Carrie Morris. Joshua and Carrie lived in Mount Pleasant, NC where they are raising their two sons, Lincoln David Morris ( 5 years old) and Maverick Edward Morris (1 year old).

He cherished his family and never met a stranger. Few words to describe Josh include: compassionate, loving, kind, generous, intelligent, and always had an infectious smile. His love for his country was evident. Josh enjoyed all outdoors, especially camping, hiking, fishing, snowboarding and outdoor activities with his family. In his free time he enjoyed family time, yard work, listening to music, sitting by the fire and yelling at the Tv watching his Steelers football.

Josh is survived by his loving spouse of 14 years together and 7 years of marriage to Carrie Morris, sons;  Lincoln Morris and  Maverick Morris of the home; mother, Barbara Morris and  significant other Andy Rolli of Hickory, NC; brother, John Morris of Virginia Beach, VA; niece, Katelyn Morris; nephew, Johnny Morris; Sister in Law, Nicole Morris; as well as his family in marriage including Grandparents, Diane Sutton and Jerry Smith; Mother in Laws, Angela Sutton, Donna Franklin, Laura Morris, Carol Honeycutt; Sister in laws, Amber Aguila and Caitlyn Thompson; Brother in law and best friend, Joey Aguila; nieces, Rylee and Dalylah; nephew, Josiah;  as well as other beloved family members including numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly. Josh also leaves behind a best friend whom he considered a brother, Jamie West as well as Robert Nall . He was preceded in death by his father, John David Morris, III.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020, 12:00 pm - 2:45 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, Harrisburg, NC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020, 3:00 pm at the Hartsell Funeral Home Harrisburg with  Rodney Taylor officiating as he brought them into marriage as well.  Webcasting for this service will start at 2:45 pm at the following link: https://video.ibm.com/channel/drygeSYpxX7

Josh will be cremated and his family plans on  creating a memorial garden with a dedicated tree and bench on their beloved property that he cherished.
