Joy Phillipy

Joy Phillipy, 95, of New London, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at her home.

She was born May 13, 1926 in Arizona to the late William Arthur Hefley and the late Alma Koch Hefley. In addition to her husband James Robert Phillipy she was also preceded in death by her three sisters, one brother and a granddaughter, Michelle.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 18th, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8:00PM, at Hartsell Funeral Homes of Albemarle at 522 N 2nd St. Albemarle, NC 28001. Burial will take place on Monday, July 19th, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include daughter, Phyllis Arnold; sons, William Robert Phillipy and Charles Kevin Phillipy; grandchildren, Tom (Laurie), Bill (Sarah), Beth (Jeramy), Charlotte, Sarah, Jamie, John (Hannah), and James (Mackenzie); numerous great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
