Joyce Burt

Joyce Elaine Schimmel Burt, 74, of Charlotte, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at home. A Memorial service for Joyce E. Burt and Gerald R. Burt will be planned for a later date in Piqua, Ohio. Joyce was born on March 31, 1938, in Piqua, Ohio to the late Fredrick and Florence Gatfield Schimmel. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gerlad R. Burt. Joyce was a Loving wife, mother and friend. She is survived by: sons, Gerald R. Burt, Jr. of Columbus OH, Keith A. Burt of Umatilla, FL, and James Burt of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Colleen Place and Helen Maxwell both of Macon, MS; sisters, Martha Jean Schimmel and Karen A. Osborne both of Piqua, OH: thirteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society 1901 Brunswick Avenue Suite 100 Charlotte, NC 28207.
