Joyce Epling

Joyce Ann Epling, 71, of Concord, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at her home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 6 until 8 pm. Funeral services will follow in the Concord chapel at 8 pm, with Rev. Morris Tyree officiating. Burial will be held in Flat Top West Virginia on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 2 pm. Mrs. Epling was born October 13, 1941 in Mercer County, WV to the late Mirriam Archie and Mildred Martin Archie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Gene Archie. Joyce’s voice was like a bird. Her noteworthy achievements, that we were all proud of was her love of her music. She played bass guitar at the Senior Center with her husband. She loved reading, and watching the cooking channel. More than anything Joyce loved being with her family. She is survived by her husband, Carl C. Epling of the home; sons, Carl Epling and wife Diana of Harrisburg, NC, and Steven Edward Epling and wife Lorie of Indian Land, SC; brothers, Anthony Archie and Colin Archie both of Ohio; grandchildren, Joshua Garrett Epling of Harrisburg, NC and Ryan Edward Epling, Indian Land, SC.
