Joyce Hatley

Joyce Louise Yow Hatley, 65, of Stanfield, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011, at her home. Mrs. Hatley was born June 25, 1945, in Cabarrus County, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carnell H. Hatley, in 2003 and father, Frank Carl Edward Yow. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m.,Tuesday, Mar. 15, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Mission Baptist Church, Locust, with a 30 minute state. Rev. Jeremy Hyde will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Survivors include son, Carnell Allan Hatley and wife, Tina, of Concord; daughter, Kathy H. Little and husband, Boyce, of Stanfield; brother, Frankie Terriel Yow and wife, Vicky, of Stanfield; sister, Juanita Yow Hartsell of Stanfield; grandchildren, Jacob Little, Benjamin Little, Kayla Hatley, Ashley Zimmerle, and Jeremy Green; great-granddaughter, Savannah Zimmerle; and mother, Lona Mae Presson Yow.
