Joyce Ellen Trull Martin

Joyce Ellen Trull Martin, 81, of Concord, passed away peacefully, surrounded by close family, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

Joyce was born December 1, 1942, in Concord, North Carolina, to the late Fred H. Trull and the late Mary Ellen Trull. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lorry Evans Martin; granddaughter, Kala Martin; sister, Betty Sossamon; and brother, Fred Trull.

Joyce graduated from Harding High School. She enjoyed family time at Kure Beach and spending time with her grandchildren. Most of all, Joyce was a loving mom, Maw-Maw, and sister. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Survivors include daughter, Ellen (Scott) Tomberlin, of Concord; son, Bobby (Beverly) Martin, of Kannapolis; "son," Ricky Martin, of Concord; three grandchildren, Gareth Tomberlin, Lacey Martin, and Nick Martin; six great-grandchildren, D'Angelo Martin, Dante Martin, Donavan Martin, Gabe Martin, Kelsi Martin, and Riley Thompson; sister, Theresa (John) Humphries, of Garden City, SC.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, officiated by Rev. Eric Edwards. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.
