Joyce Zanation

Surrounded by her family's love, Joyce Zanation, 56, of Concord, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011. Joyce was born on July 25, 1955 in Concord, NC to the late Spencer and Ruth Blackwelder. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Michael, three sons and two grandchildren: Adam and his wife Jennifer and children Brody and Riley Kate, Matthew and his wife Melody, and Travis and his wife Melissa. Having a kind heart, Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who always put others before herself and loved to help her family in any way possible. She took great joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially during the holidays and at the beach. Joyce loved flowers, including her beautiful rose garden, Christmas music, even during the middle of summer, and cooking delicious meals and desserts for her family. She took great pride in her three boys and their families, who were always thrilled to have Joyce as an important part of their lives. A loyal employee, Joyce worked with S&D Coffee in Concord for over 30 years. A private memorial service for the family was held on Thursday, September 8th.
