Juanita Bayles

JUANITA CAROL BAYLES -- Nita C. Bayles, 79, died October 8, 2021, in Concord, NC. She was born on June 11, 1942 in Wadesboro, NC; the daughter of Sam Rackley and Louise Rackley Flake.

She graduated from Livingston College. Following graduation, she served her community for twenty-five years as a Social Worker for the State of North Carolina. She had two children, Scott Sessions and Carol Herring and married her beloved John Bayles.

Nita’s favorite hobbies included reading and participating in her book club. She loved sharing her books and stories with friends and family. Nita enjoyed attending the theatre, quilting, and traveling. She adored her friends, family, and pets as well as hosting everyone at her home.

Nita was predeceased by her husband, John Bayles as well as her brother, Steve Rackley. She is survived by her son, Scott Sessions; daughter, Carol Herring and her husband Scott Herring; and granddaughter, Lexi Herring.

A service of remembrance will be held privately by her immediate family. There will be a celebration of her life for her friends at a later date. Those who wish to remember Nita in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Christ Episcopal Church, 428 Pee Dee Ave Albemarle, NC 28001.
