Juanita Tucker

Juanita Smith Tucker passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015. She was born on April 9th, 1932 in Stanly County, and was the daughter of the late Paul Luther Smith and the late Minnie Hatley Smith.

She was married to J.C. Tucker for 51 glorious years, and together they had three loving children, Rhonda Harwood and husband, Donnie of Locust, Terry Tucker and wife, Pama of New Salem, and Monica Yow and husband, Sherrill of Stanfield. She had four loving grandchildren; Heather Harwood, Michael Yow, Ben and Sam Tucker; as well as adopted brother C.A. Herrin of Oakboro.

Juanita was the 11th child of Paul and Minnie Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Tucker and grandson Jared Tucker.

She graduated from Ridgecrest School in 1950 and was employed at various textile mills. Juanita was a member of Carolina Presbyterian Church in Locust that she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Carolina Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow 4:00 pm at the church, officiated by Rev. David Yoran. Burial will take place at the Carolina Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
