Judith Hesdon

Judith “Judy” Lemons Franklin Hesdon, age 73 of Albemarle, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 7pm until 9pm. At other times the family will meet at the home of a daughter, Theresa Honeycutt, 113 New Street, Norwood, NC. The funeral service will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church, Albemarle on Monday, September 19 at 10am, officiated by Father Peter Fitzgibbon. Burial will follow at Norview Gardens. Mrs. Hesdon was born in Forsythe County on July 2, 1938, to the late Allen Lawrence Lemons and the late Pearl Glenn Deaton Lemons. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dean Hesdon; son, Robert Allen Franklin; great-granddaughter, Alexandra Thompson. She is survived by daughters; Eve Franklin Russell of Myrtle Beach, Janet Anderson of Georgia, Donna Ann Franklin and her partner Angela of Norwood, Theresa Honeycutt and her husband Roger of Norwood; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; lifelong friends, Donna Littleton Taylor and Sylvia Anne Lewis Harward.
