Judith Irene Shelton

Judith Irene Swann Shelton, 81, of Concord entered eternity with her Lord & Savior, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.Judy was born June 2, 1943 in Asheville North Carolina to the late William Edward Swann and the late Ruth Inez Swann. 

She was also preceded in death by husband, William Alfred Shelton and brother, Lewis Arnold Swann.

Judy had a passion for making music unto the Lord. She played the organ and/or piano at different churches throughout her life starting when she was a little girl and ending at St. Martin Lutheran Church. For many years she shared her love of music with her piano students both young and old. Judy worked as a church secretary and then later on with Cabarrus County Schools where she retired. She always had a kind word and inviting spirit to all she met. Her earthly presence will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include daughter, Megan Shelton of Charlotte, NC, son, John (Lynn) Shelton of Concord NC, grandchildren, Grace, Shelton, Kyle, Laci & Jack, brother, Eddie (Linda) Swann of Mills River NC, sister in law, Jeanette Swann and several nephews.

The memorial service will be on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 2:00pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The family will receive friends following the service.
