Judy Benitez

Judy Carol Johnson Benitez, age 63 of Harrisburg, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. The family will receive friends at Broadus Baptist Church on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 10am until 11am. The funeral service will be at 11am, officiated by Pastor Rodney Quesenberry. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Mrs. Benitez was born in Huntington, WV on November 23, 1947, to the late Harold Lee Johnson, Sr. and Dorothy Louise Bias Johnson of Florida. Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Charles Benitez of the home; sons, Thomas L. Heffington, Jr of Tampa, FL., Jason Wade Heffington of Orlando, FL.; grandson, Justin Thomas Heffington of Orlando, FL; stepsons, Charles Benitez, Jr of Boston, MA, and Joseph A. Benitez of FL; step grandchildren, Victoria, Charles, III (Trey), Mercedes, Isaiah, Chad, Jacquelyn, and Joslyn; brother, Harold Johnson, Jr. of Harrisburg; sister, Juanita Craig of Sanford, FL. Mrs. Benitez was a member of Broadus Baptist Church where she served as the pianist. Memorials may be made to Harris Hospice/Presbyterian Hospital, 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204.
