Judy Ellis Deaton was called home to join her heavenly father on December 2, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on September 1, 1942 in Charlotte NC to the late Theodore and Opal Ellis.
Judy is survived by her daughter Kimberly Powell (Mike), sons Dale Robinson (Lori), Kenneth Deaton Jr. (Sharon); sisters Frances Robinson (Keith), Faye Scott (James), Cora Brutton (Larry), Debbie Ellis (Max Shaw), Darlene Deese; brothers Teddy Ellis (Elizabeth), Tim Ellis; grandchildren Michael Powell (Kari), Cody Powell (Abigail), James Robinson (Tiffany), Josh Robinson (Lindsey), Cheyenne Deaton; great-grandchildren Savannah Robinson, Summer Robinson, James Dale “JD” Robinson, and countless nieces and nephews.
Judy loved being with her friends and family. If you knew Judy you know that she was known for her daily trip to the BP to get her Sundrop slushie. Her sense of humor and her caring heart will be truly missed by everyone.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Deaton, son Scotty Deaton; sisters Linda Ellis, and JoNeil Honeycutt, and brother Jerry Ellis.
The family would like to especially thank Jennifer and Candice with Hospice Care for their love and care over the past months.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 3:45 pm, December 05, 2020 at Covenant Church of Harrisburg. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm officiated by Pastor Charles Efird.
