Judy Ann Smith Shue, 64 years of age, of Concord, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord after a brief illness.
Judy was born July 30, 1952 in Concord, NC to the late Reece Love Smith Sr. and Nona Rachel Smith.
She was a member of Broadus Baptist Church in Concord, and was a life long follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We can rest assured that she is resting in the arms of Jesus.
She leaves behind her husband of 46 years, Stephen Davis Shue of Concord; her mother, Nona Rachel Smith of Kinston; daughter, Carla Carpenter and husband, Scott of Kannapolis; son, Jeffery Shue of China Grove; brothers, Reece Smith, Jr. and wife, Phyllis of Kinston; and Rev. James Smith and wife Connie of Dillon, SC; four grandchildren who she thought the world of, Caleb, Hannah, Jamie and Jeremy; one great granddaughter Abigail; and one spoiled dog named Mitzi.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm on Friday October 7th at Broadus Baptist Church with a memorial service immediately following officiated by Rev. Rodney Quesenberry.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the ICU Unit 2 staff and Palliative Care staff at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broadus Baptist Church, 59 Green St., Concord, NC 28027.
