Judy Walter

Judy Ruth Greene Walter, 72 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Judy was born May 5, 1942 in Stanly County to the late Walter Ruthford Greene and the late Mabel Henrietta Morris Greene.
She was also preceded in death by brother, Walter Greene.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Stoney Benfield, will be at 1 pm on Wednesday in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel. At other times the family will be gathering at the home of her son, Bill Rowland, 258 Krimminger Ave., Concord.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry Columbus Walter of the home; sons, William Rowland, and Tommy Rowland and wife Renee, both of Concord; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy D.Greene and wife Gay of Norwood, Johnny Greene and wife Hye of Huntsville, AL, and two sisters, Sue Greene Dennis of New London, and Trudy Shaver and husband Ted of Norwood.
