Julia Burris

Julia Mayberry Burris, age 76 of 24322 Old Aquadale Road, Albemarle, North Carolina 28001, passed away on October 29, 2010 at Britthaven of the Piedmont in Albemarle. Visitation will be Monday, November 1st from 1 pm until 2 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home – Albemarle. Family and friends may also pay respects at the funeral home, Sunday October 31st after 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be Monday, November 1st at 2 pm at the Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Harry Harward will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethesda Community Cemetery. The family will be meeting in her home. Born in Stanly County on July 12, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Preston Lee and Terry Morris Mayberry, Julia was also preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Lee. Mrs. Burris is survived by her husband of 54 years, Arthur David “Whitey” Burris of the home; one son, Charles David Burris and wife Bonnie of Albemarle; two grandsons, ?Brian David Burris and Jason Matthew Burris; two step granddaughters, Page Fitton and Holly Knotts and one great granddaughter, Lilly Knotts.
