Julia Efird

Julia Mae Hatley Efird, 80, of Concord, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012 at The Oaks at Town Center in Harrisburg. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Toby Rinaldo, will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be at Providence Church of God Cemetery. At other times the family will meet at the home of Mrs. Efird’s daughter, Judy Allmon at 7094 Empire Drive, Mt. Pleasant. Julia was born on November 27, 1931, to the late Shufford Vertus Hatley and the late Cora Belle McLester Hatley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo Junior Efird. Mrs. Efird is survived by a daughter, Judy Allmon of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Roger Efird and Dennis Efird and his wife Kamela all of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren, Anita Rinaldo of Kannapolis, Kevin Allmon of Charlotte, April Brown of Concord, and David Efird, Daniel Efird and Andrea Efird, all of Mt. Pleasant; seven great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons. Memorials may be made to Providence Church of God Cemetery Fund, 12474 NC 24-27 Hwy., Locust, NC 28097.
