Julia "Peggy" Pemberton Hudson Isenhour, 91, of Concord went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Unviersal Health Care and Rehabilitation of Concord, following a period of declining health. Julia was born August 16, 1918, in Cabarrus County, the youngest of five daughters of the late George W. Hudson and the late Ada Cox Hudson. The service for Julia Isenhour will be Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, NC at 3:00 pm, conducted by Rev. Norbert F. Hahn, assisted by Rev. T.C. Plexico. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, 3600 Hwy 601 S., Concord, NC 28025. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm prior to the service. Julia was retired from Cannon Mills Co. of Kannapolis in the sheet department and a member of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, Concord, NC. Julia also was a prior member of the Golden Slipper and loved to dance. In addition to her parents George W. Hudson and Ada Cox Hudson, Julia was preceeded in death by her husband Carl S. Isenhour on March 12, 1952, her son William Carl "Bill" Isenhour on October 5, 2009, and sisters Viola H. Austin, Lucille H. Clay, Gertrude H. Turner, and Juanita H. Faggart. Julia is survived by a son Ronald Lee Isenhour of Mt. Pleasant, daughter-in-law Mary Allman Isenhour of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren Carl Samuel Isenhour of Concord, Jacob William "Jay" Isenhour and wife Francis Love Isenhour of Mt. Pleasant, Crystal Star Isenhour of Salisbury, NC, great-grandchild Lori Beth Isenhour and great-great-grandchild Rylie B. Connell of Mt. Pleasant. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff and volunteers of the Coltrane Life Center Inc., that Julia loved and enjoyed for several years and to the staff and caregivers of the Universal Health Care for the love and care Julia received over the past years of residence, and also to the friends and family for all their acts of kindness. Memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, 3600 Hwy 601 S., Concord, NC 28025, or to the Coltrane Life Center, 321 Corban Avenue SE, Concord, nc 28025.
