June Burris

June Rhoda Helms Burris age 75 of Albemarle passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was born in Stanly County and was an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she attended since her birth. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Elias Burris, who passed away on February 9, 2007, her mother and father Autie Belle Burris Helms and James Luther Helms. Mrs. Burris is survived by her son, Chris Harold Burris and wife Deena of Winston-Salem, NC and their children, Abby and Ava Burris. Graveside service will be Monday, April 5 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Wayne Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the graveside service at the home of Mrs. Burris. Memorials may be made to the Hatian Relief Fund, 48-D Atlantic Ave. Lynbrook, NY 11563 in memory of June Rhoda Helms Burris.
