June Crayton

June C. Crayton, 69 of 612 Hwy. 24/27, Locust, NC 28097, passed away March 05, 2011 at her home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral home of Midland on Tuesday, March 8 from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral will be on Wednesday, March 9 at 2 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. There will be a 30 minute state. Rev. John Miller and Rev. Leon Whitley will officiate. Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Church in Locust. Born in Stanly County on October 09, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Clontz and the late Cora Ethel Crayton Clontz. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett Francis Crayton in 1996. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She played the organ at Bethel Baptist Church for 20 years and played the piano at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for 15 years. She was employed by Electrolux. She is survived by her son, Chad E. Crayton of Locust; brother, Johnnie Clontz of Stanfield; sisters, Autie Connell, Betty Yow and Blanche Yow all of Stanfield and Brenda Horne of Marshville.
