June Iris Johnson, 82 years of age, of New London, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly in Albemarle.
Mrs. Johnson was born August 21, 1934 in Tennessee to the late Everett and Anne Feathers Maupin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Arthur Johnson, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Friday, January 20, 2017 in the Parlor at First Presbyterian Church-Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm in the chapel, officiated by Rev. Elizabeth Ayscue. Burial will follow in the New London Cemetery, 331 Spring Street, New London.
Survivors include: son, Greg Johnson of New London, NC; daughter, Lesia and husband Randy Eudy of Summerville, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 6000 Fairview Rd. #305, Charlotte, NC. 28210.
