Karen Elizabeth Jacumin Carpenter, age 45 of Marshville, NC passed away on November 9, 2011. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Peachland United Methodist Church, 19 Allan Street, Peachland, NC 28133 from 5:00PM – 8:00PM. At other times the family will be meeting at her home. The funeral service will be Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 4:00PM at Peachland United Methodist Church. The Officiating Clergy will be: Rev. Nicole Jones, Rev. Ruth Mercer, and Rev. Phillip Smith. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Mecklenburg County on May 25, 1966 to Nell Whitley Jacumin and William Lawrence Jacumin Jr. of Oakboro. She is survived by her husband of 25 years Ricky Roy Carpenter; son, Nick Carpenter of Marshville; sisters, Kathryn Jacumin High and husband Robert of Norwood, and Lisa Jacumin Sedberry of Indian Trial; brother-in-law, Todd Sedberry of Wingate; nieces, Madelyn and Meghan; and nephews, Nathan and William and many cherished friends.
