Kathleen Crouse

Kathleen Anders Crouse, 71 years of age from Locust, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast in Concord. Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Crouse was born March 1, 1941 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Kilby Eugene Anders and Hallie Leona Anders. She was formerly of Independence, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Freedom Baptist Church, 20015 Coley Store Road, Locust. There will be a 30 minute state prior to the service. Rev. Daryl Sykes and Rev. David Osborne will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Survivors include her loving husband, Billy Franklin Crouse, of the home; her daughters, Melissa Liles and husband, Dennis, of Locust and Pam Watts and husband, Derek, of Denver, N. C.; her granddaughters, McKayla and Chloe Watts; her step-grandsons, Jason Liles and wife Leslie, and Daniel Liles; her nephews, Bobby Anders of Sparta and Dennis Anders of North Wilkesboro; and her “adopted” sons, Jacob and Adam Barnhardt.
