Kathleen Efird

Kathleen Joyce Burleson Efird, 90, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her home.

Kathleen was born May 16, 1930 in Stanly County to the late Newton Vance Burleson and Celia Inez Barbee Burleson. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Lee Efird; and brother, Mickey Newt Burleson.

The graveside service to celebrate her life will be at 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Albemarle. She will lie in state from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Wednesday at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.

She is survived by her daughter, Cecelia (Grover) Cook of Albemarle; granddaughter, Buffie Henry (Jamie) Beach of Florida: grandson, Charlie (Lauren) Henry of Marshville; three great-grandchildren, Brice, Brooks, and Taylor Henry; nephews, Rick (David Dever) Burleson, Jeff (Camilla) Burleson; and two great-nieces, Brittany and Victoria Burleson.

Kathleen was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all. She was owner and operator of Twin Pines Flower Shop for over 20 years, and was a lifetime member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
