Kathleen Marie Petrick Gamble, 64 years of age, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. Kathy was born May 7, 1949 in Waynesburg, PA to the late John Thomas Petrick, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Jane Burke Petrick. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Friday at 2:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Mark Clontz and Pastor Finley Cutshaw. The burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte. At other times the family will gather at the home. She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, James Edward Gamble, Sr. of the home; son, James Edward Gamble, Jr. and wife Sarah of Matthews; daughters, Lori Ann Edmisten and sons, Drew and Jakob Edmisten of Indian Trail, and Rebekah Lynn Cutshaw and husband Finley and their children, Ashley, Jessie, Finley M., Matthew, Nathaniel, R. Lauren, and Caleb Cutshaw, of Memphis,TN; brother, John Thomas Petrick, Jr. and wife Darlene of Washington, PA; and sisters, Patty Petrick Campbell and husband Cleve of Cincinnati, OH, and Kim Petrick Deusenberry and husband Denny of Grafton, WV; and mother-in-law, Virginia Lawrence Gamble of Clarksville, PA. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was incredibly giving, thoughtful and loyal. Kathy enjoyed cooking, shopping for everyone she knew, and treasure collecting. She was a dedicated office administrator for Bible Baptist Church in Matthews, and Bethel United Methodist Church in Midland. Kathy had a fighting spirit which was an inspiration to all.
