Kathleen Hess

Mrs. Kathleen Carter Hess 85 of 74 Parrish Place Concord, NC passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center-University in Charlotte, NC. Born on June 13, 1924 in Cabarrus County to the late Daniel Robertson Carter and the late Mary Joyner Carter. Also preceded in death by her husband Joe Preston Hess, Jr. and brothers, John and Robert Carter. Mrs. Hess was a Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and also a great friend to all. The family meeting place will be at the home. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 6 PM until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel Concord on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11 AM, with the Elder Paul Schulz officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Survived by: son, Michael Wayne Hess and wife Katherine of Concord; daughter, Patricia "Pat" Helle and husband Skip of Concord; brother, William Carter and wife Marion of Concord; sister, Helen Kepley of Charlotte; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
