Kathleen Hudson

Mrs. Kathleen Genva "Kat" Long Hudson 84 of 841 Gladden Court Concord passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Born on February 18, 1926 in Cabarrus County to the late Daniel Franklin Long and the late Mary Lou Farrell Long. Mrs. Hudson was a retired weaver with Locke Mill, and also worked at Cabarrus Creamery. She was a member of Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church. The family meeting place will be at the home. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 6 until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 2 pm, with the Rev. Wayne Hinson officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Survived by: husband, Martin Luther Hudson, Sr. of the home: sons, Martin Luther Hudson, Jr. and wife Darlene of Locust, and James Arlan Hudson and wife Helen of Mt. Pleasant; daughters, Shirley Elaine Hudson ,Vickie Star Kennedy and husband Gary, and Kimberly Dawn Auman and husband R.H. all of Concord; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
