Kathleen Litaker

Kathleen Virginia Litaker, 83, of Concord, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at her home in Concord surrounded by her loving family. Miss Litaker was born June 26, 1930 to the late Oscar William Litaker and Lomie Sides Litaker. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by two brothers, Aubrey Litaker and Carl Litaker and three sisters, Juanita Lefler, Connie Carpenter and Julia Litaker. Kat was employed by Cannon Mills from 1950 until her retirement in 1993. She loved her family and spent countless hours caring for her brothers and sisters in times of sickness. Many nieces and nephews grew up considering her to be a second mother or grandmother. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Center United Methodist Church of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm on Sunday at Center United Methodist Church of Concord officiated by Rev. Tony Allen . Burial will be held at the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery. She is survived by one sister, Marie Litaker and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Carolina Home Care and Hospice of Cabarrus County for caring for Miss Litaker during the past two weeks.
