Kathy Arnold

Kathy Stegall Arnold, 59, of Norwood, passed away on Sunday, January 06, 2013 at Carolina’s Medical Center – Main. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Eileen Ayuso, will be at New London United Methodist Church, on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. At other times, the family will meet at the home of her daughter, Sarah Clay, 34310 Blue Bird Lane, New London, NC. Mrs. Arnold was born on September 6, 1953, in Union County, to Clayton Henry Stegall of New Salem and the late Retty Lucille Hinson Stegall. She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Richard William Arnold of the home; four daughters, Maggie Long and husband Jesse of Midland, Sarah Clay and husband Michael of New London, Nechia Carroll and husband Alan Boykin of Greer, SC, Rhea Brigman of Greer, SC; a son, Eddie Morris and wife Laura of Greer, SC; brother, Randy Stegall and wife Rose of New Salem; sister, Pamela Simpson and husband Arthur of Charlotte; grandchildren, Hannah Dial, Brooklyn Griffin and Brieanna Long; a niece and two nephews. Dedicating her life to taking care of others, Kathy graduated from UNC Pembroke with a BSN and worked for Stanly Regional Medical Center for 22 years.
