Kathy Jo Melton Morton, 55 years of age, of Concord, went to her heavenly home surrounded by family and friends, Sunday, November 5, 2017. Her faithfulness to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her commitment to her family and friends will be remembered and treasured by all.
Kathy was born November 9, 1961 in Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ronald Melton and Mary Jo Melton, father-in-law, Riley E Morton, brother-in-laws, Riley Morton; and David Morton.
The celebration of life service will be on Saturday, November 11th at 1:00 PM at Derita Presbyterian Church, Charlotte NC officiated by Rev. Dean Burris. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
Survivors include husband, John Morton of Concord, NC; mother-in-law, Betty Morton; brother, Mike (Kathy) Melton; brother-in-laws, Michael (Debbie) Morton; and Stephen (Jane) Morton; and numerous nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Hilda Morton and special friend, Lynn Harrell and her FSIoffice Family.
