Katie Lou Thompson White 83 of 146 LeCline Drive NE Concord passed away on Thursday, September 03, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Born in Blytheville Arkansas to the late Edgar Clarence Thompson and the late Brazzora Dobbs Thompson. Also preceded in death by her husband, James Costner White who passed away in 1970, and a brother, William Arthur Thompson. Mrs. White was a graduate of Blytheville High School in Arkansas, and was a Dietary Specialist for Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis at 4 PM with the Fr. Scott Oxford officiating. A visitation will follow after the graveside service at Carolina Memorial Park. Survived by her daughter, Judy White Goodwin of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Katherin Louise White & partner Cheryl Lynne Oxford of Morganton, NC; granddaughter, Caroline Goodwin Johnston & husband Mark Bennett Johnston; brother, James Edgar Thompson of Memphis, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
