Kay Garmon

Kay Frances Lane Garmon, age 70, of Kannapolis, passed away on August 31, 2012 at CMC-Northeast after a lengthy illness. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 2 PM to 4 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Everette Cox, will follow at 4 PM in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Kay was born on July 4, 1942, to the late Clarence Jasper Lane and the late Sarah Jane Lane Goodman. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jeff Allen Garmon and sister, Daisy Lane. She is survived by her son, Gerald Garmon and wife Annette of Lexington; three daughters, Karen Luzzi and husband Anthony of Kannapolis, Teresa Hess and husband Scott of Rockwell, Barbara Moss and husband Allen of Shelby; brothers, Clarence Lane, Jr of FL, Roy Lane of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Sara Garmon, Zachary Garmon, Logan Garmon, Jennifer Luzzi, Justin Hess, Sean Moss, Joshua Moss; and great grandson, Bradley Hess. Kay worked as a quality control specialist at PMI, and was a member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Garmon family.
